Arshad Khan Opens His Latest Chai Cafe In London
Arshad Khan, the blue-eyed tea seller from Pakistan, gained instant fame in 2016 when his viral photo circulated online. The entrepreneur has now opened a new cafe in London, United Kingdom.
The cafe, named ‘Café Chaiwala Arshad Khan’, is situated on East London’s Ilford Lane, reported Hindustan Times. It is a vibrant neighbourhood with a significant Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi population.
As per reports, the cafe’s main objective is to cater to the diverse community living in the area. The brand is brought to London by three Asian brothers— Bahadar, Nadir and Akbar Durani— reports Hindustan Times.

Pakistan’s Viral Blue-Eyed Chaiwala Makes Headlines Again
The Pakistani tea seller’s cafe is gaining quick hype. The cafe’s interiors have all the elements that make it a perfect place for an authentic “desi chai” experience. From hand-decorated Vespa, and a modern yet traditional dhaba-style interior to truck art, the cafe has it all.
As per reports, the businessmen brothers even plan to expand this business across the United Kingdom, North America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and the Middle East through franchises.
The first outlet of the cafe is located on Ilford Lane, London. Talking to Hindustan Times, Akbar Durrani shared future plans for the brand. The ultimate goal is to establish 50 Café Chaiwala Arshad Khan franchises in the United Kingdom alone, he said.
Reports also stated that the businessman said the cafe has gone international and London is just the first stop. The brothers, along with Arshad, plan to make this an international brand.
Arshad Khan’s journey is not an ordinary one. He went from a poor teenager selling chai on Islamabad’s streets 7 years ago to opening his own shop in London. Photographer Javeria Ali’s viral picture of him pouring tea changed his fate, making him an overnight sensation in Pakistan. Even Indians and people around the world were in awe of the young man.

Thanks to his striking looks, his blue eyes and serious demeanour, he is now known as “Chaiwala” and is the inspiration behind the brand’s name.
