Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, enjoyed tall glasses of kokum sharbat, instead of Feni, at Miski Bar with none other than Pankaj Tripathi. We were honoured to meet and converse with him again about food, films and more. Pankaj Tripathi is also the man behind the excellent portrayal of former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in 2024’s ‘Main Atal Hoon’. He remembered his shooting days in the heat of Uttar Pradesh.
Pankaj Tripathi Recalled Beating Scorching Heat With Kokum Sherbat During The Filming Of ‘Main Atal Hoon’
We began the food trail by visiting a popular bar in Goa! When in Goa, that is the only correct way to begin the day, right? We stepped into Miski Bar with Pankaj and learned to make a classic Feni drink. It was a fun experience, however, the actor doesn’t consume alcohol. Hence, we enjoyed tall glasses of kokum sharbat to beat the non-feni blues.
The actor said, “The Indian beverage, kokam sharbat is a fabulous drink.” Suddenly, Pankaj Tripathi recalled the shooting days of the 2024 film ‘Main Atal Hoon’ and shared that they were filming in Uttar Pradesh and the heat was too much. The temperatures soared to 48°C!
Kumar Da, a Konkani, had a stock of kokum sharbat with him. Everyone drank kokum sharbat from this stock and got a respite from the scorching heat.

He Might Have Laughed On A Joke Even If It Wasn’t Funny!

With these glasses of kokum sherbat, we played a fun game of ‘Never Have I Ever’ with Pankaj. One of our questions was about whether he had laughed out loud at a joke he didn’t understand. The actor took two large sips of kokum sharbat revealing that the jokester would feel bad if he didn’t laugh.
He wants to sympathise with people who crack jokes and appreciate their efforts. This makes us wonder whether he did the same in our previous videos, including this one, whenever we cracked a PJ!
