Pankaj Tripathi Took Kamiya Jani To The Oldest Post Office In Goa
Pankaj is often intrigued by the subject of history. He eagerly researches to gather knowledge about various stuff. One such was about the oldest post office located in Goa. Hence, the video began right outside the Panaji Post Office at Patto Colony.
The entrance of the oldest post office in Goa was coloured in the iconic white and dark red tones. There was not a single thing at this office that showcased its bygone era! The actor told Kamiya that this was established in 1854, making it 170 years old in 2024.
Then, he narrated a funny story about how the employees discovered the real age of a gadget at the Panaji Post Office. On the gadget’s 150 anniversary, it was found to be 180 years old and not 150! That is a massive 30-year gap, woah!

The Portuguese influence in architecture and food is quite remarkable here. It has vibrant, colourful Portuguese-style villas that make it stand out from the rest of Goa. It is picturesque and Instagram-worthy at the same time.
Kamiya shared with Pankaj that all these houses are nearly 300 to 400 years old. They are specifically in vibrant blues, yellows and red to represent Portuguese vibes in Old Goa. On hearing this, the actor told us that the Portuguese ruled over Goa for around 480 years, so the influence and relevance are undeniable.
