Two paragliders collided approximately 100 feet above ground. The pilot, Ashwani Kumar, was severely injured and transferred to PGI Chandigarh for treatment. These accidents follow another fatal incident earlier in January when a tourist from Andhra Pradesh died whilst paragliding at Raison, near Manali.

Subsequent investigations revealed negligence by the operator, who had conducted flights from an unauthorised launching site. This led authorities to close the Naga Bagh paragliding site and revoke the operator’s licence.
