Journalist Shiv Aroor shared a beautiful glimpse of the Veer Savarkar International Airport’s new terminal. As shared in his post on X (formerly Twitter), his favourite part of this terminal is the poster featuring unnamed islands in Andaman and Nicobar, Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi named these scenic islands after 21 of India’s Param Vir Chakra awardees.

PM Modi responded to Shiv Aroor’s post and elaborated on the reason behind naming these beautiful islands after our nation’s heroes. This significant poster exhibited at Veer Savarkar International Airport’s new terminal showcases the brightest and most important people’s contributions to our country. Modi Ji named islands after India’s 21 prominent freedom fighters to ensure that all generations remember them for their immense contributions and services to the motherland.

“Naming Andaman and Nicobar’s islands after our heroes is a way to ensure that their service to the country is remembered for all generations to come,” PM Modi shared. He also explained that this is a part of the government’s larger endeavour to preserve and celebrate the memory of our freedom fighters and eminent personalities. This is a crucial step to celebrate every person who has “left an indelible mark on our nation.”
