Heart attacks have become increasingly common in the youth. Recently, a young man travelling from the Indira Gandhi International Airport or IGIA in Delhi suffered from cardiac arrest. A video is making rounds on the Internet showing the man, identified as Arshid Ayoub, collapsing on the ground. He was saved by the prompt response of the CISF personnel on duty nearby via CPR. Netizens emphasised the need to teach CPR to everyone. Watch the full video below.

Passenger Collapses At Delhi Airport Due To Cardiac Arrest

According to an article which was recently published by The Free Press Journal or the FPJ, Ayoub was waiting at the Delhi Airport to board a flight to Srinagar. The video which is currently going viral on X (formerly known as Twitter) shows him falling to the ground after cardiac arrest.

A CCTV camera captured the whole incident. Two personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force or CISF were on duty nearby. When they saw the man collapse, they immediately rushed to his aid. The video shows them performing the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation or CPR on him.

After the CPR, the man was admitted to the Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi for further medical assistance and monitoring. The incident took place on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. The video was first shared on the social media handles of the CISF.

Thanks to the timely CPR administered by the CISF personnel, the man is now in a stable condition. If there is one thing that needs to be taken away from this incident it is the importance of knowing CPR.

Not just guards and security personnel, everyone should know how to do it. It could save a person’s life. The CISF personnel were lauded for their prompt action in saving the man’s life. Their prompt reaction demonstrates their commitment to the safety and security of everyone.
