In a shocking incident, a passenger discovered a centipede floating in his raita served at IRCTC’s VIP Executive Lounge. While people often take to X (formerly Twitter) to share the unsatisfactory meals served on trains, this is a rare incident where a VIP lounge has been flagged off for serving unhygienic food to its passengers. Here’s more to it.
Man Spots Centipede In Raita Served At IRCTC’s VIP Lounge
Taking to X, a person named Aaraynsh shared a picture of a paper cup filled with raita. But what stood out was a centipede floating in the yoghurt. In his caption, he takes a dig at Indian Railways. He sarcastically claims that the food served on Indian Railways has improved. And that’s because they are serving raita with more protein. His post highlights that IRCTC lounges are no different than trains when it comes to unsatisfactory meals.
Yes, for sure, Indian Railway food quality has improved, now they are serving raita with more protein. https://t.co/YKtUQt7roZ pic.twitter.com/FpJVIKOhBC

Many others joked about the passenger getting an extra dose of protein with his meal. Aaraynsh cited that he discovered the creepy crawly after devouring half of the raita. He was about to puke when he found out. Another Netizen exclaimed that she prefers to never eat anything on the train except for homecooked food. An X user joked that the raita was actually a swimming pool for the insect. And it was a non-veg raita at best.
Well, have you ever spotted an insect in your food served on the train or lounge?
