When using public bathrooms, being recorded while you go about your business is one of the biggest fears that we all have. This fear became a reality for many people travelling on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. A passenger discovered a hidden camera in one of the public toilets of the cruise and reported it to the crew. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the camera had managed to record more than 150 people, including the person who planted it.
Passenger Finds Hidden Camera Inside Cruise Ship Toilet
A Royal Caribbean cruise ship called The Harmony of the Seas set sail from Miami on the 29th of April. According to an article by Business Insider India, it was scheduled to stop at Saint Martin, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas and the cruise of seven days long.
A day following the cruise ship’s departure, a man named Jeremy Froias planted a camera in the public bathroom on the top deck of the ship. More than 150 people were recorded on the camera, many of whom were naked. Around 40 people recorded on the camera seemed to be minors, some as young as four or five years old.
A day later, on the 1st of May, another passenger discovered the camera. Following his discovery, he alerted the crew members of the ship. The footage that the camera recorded was hours-long and it also captured the perpetrator who set up the camera.

Jeremy Froias Identified And Arrested
The camera recorded Jeremy Froias adjusting the camera’s angle so that its lens pointed directly at the toilet. He was identified and interviewed. During the interview, Froias admitted to planting the camera inside the lavatory.
He was then found guilty of possessing child-exploitative material as well as of recording video of an individual in a private area without consent. Officials are currently trying to identify the victims of the incident and are taking efforts to reach out to them. A form for the same purpose has also been released.
