Passengers Advised To Reach DXB Early To Avoid Delays; NCM Issues Orange & Yellow Alert

Rains have been battering different parts of the UAE, and Dubai is no different. Due to the unstable weather conditions, passengers have therefore been advised to arrive at the airport early to avoid delays, especially on Monday and Tuesday. However, it’s worth keeping in mind that flights by Emirates, Etihad, and flydubai are operating operating as per their schedules.

Passengers Advised To Arrive Early At DXB

As the thunderstorm continues to rage on, customers have been asked to arrive at the Dubai International Airport early in order to avoid any delays that they may experience on the road. Emirates in a report by Khaleej Times, advised the commuters to reach the airport earlier in order to complete their check-in formalities. While flydubai in the same report advised people to continuously check the status of their flights on the website.
At this point, it’s worth mentioning that the National Centre of Meteorology announced that the nation will continue to receive rain and wind of varying intensity till February 13, Tuesday. Due to the unstable weather conditions, there is reduced horizontal visibility.

NCM Issues Yellow & Orange Alert

The NCM has issued Yellow and Orange alerts. Yes, it is expected that on Monday, which is today, the country is expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, which might be accompanied by lightning, hail, and even thunder. Due to the weather conditions, some schools and offices have also decided to work from home to ensure the safety of students and employees.

Citizens In Oman Also Asked To Be Cautious

It’s worth noting that the Ministry of Interior has advised the residents to remain cautious. Yes, they have also been asked to drive slowly due to the reduced horizontal visibility. Moreover, the sea may be rough due to the cloud activity in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea. In fact, not just in the UAE, the government authorities have also warned its citizens in Oman due to the torrential rains. This comes at a time when several Gulf countries are experiencing unstable conditions.
