The latest episode of Tere Gully Mein was a sweet delight because we went jalebi-hopping with Payal Dhare AKA Payal Gaming. We explored some of Mumbai’s most viral jalebi spots with this popular gamer and spoke to her about her love for gaming, pressure of live streaming, her unconventional career choice, and more. Here’s how it went down.
Payal Dhare Opens About Gaming, Streaming & Everything In Between
Payal Dhare, or as people better know her–Payal Gaming, is one of the most popular gamers in India. She has been awarded and appreciated for her gaming skills. She even met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed the future of gaming in India.
We asked Payal Dhare how she became the sensational Payal Gaming, and she shared that she has been playing games for a long time. While streaming PC gaming was popular back then, she was one of the first females to stream live gaming from her phone. She shared that she once played continuously for almost 13-14 hours!
She shared that after making her channel on YouTube during the COVID lockdown, she explained to her parents that she could earn from YouTube and asked them to install a Wi-fi connection at home. After convincing her parents a lot, she shifted to a smaller home by herself. At just 20, she cooked, cleaned, and took care of everything just to fulfil her dream of being a gamer.
Understanding the scope of online gaming, Payal Dhare’s parents supported her in her unconventional choice of career. Like any other job, she also faced many ups and downs in her career. From weird fans to having to block famous people for their unacceptable behaviour, she spoke about it all.

All The Jalebis We Enjoyed With Her
For our jalebi trail, our first stop was Satu’s Sweets Snacks & Namkeen in Chembur, Mumbai. The place is famous for its massive, 1 kg jalebi and we gave Payal Dhare the challenge to finish it! Next, we headed to Burhanpur Mawa Jalebi to try Madhya Pradesh’s famous mawa jalebi. There, Payal Dhare made her first-ever jalebi and learnt to master the art as well. Our final destination was Bombay Sweet Shop and we tried the famous Mascarpone Jalebi Bun there. According to Payal, the dish tasted like a fancier version of the good ol’ cream roll!
