Pedro Pascal Lookalike Contest Held In NYC

As per Hindustan Times, a unique contest recently took place in New York to find a Pedro Pascal lookalike. To celebrate his iconic status, fans gathered to find someone who matched his good looks. And yes, the winner’s uncanny resemblance has left everyone stunned.

As per the report, fans gave the winner title Pedro #5 to a man named George Gountas. And here’s the surprise: George also belongs to the television world. He works as a lighting designer for The Daily Show. According to him, it was actually his wife, Jenny Gania, who dragged him to the event. Thanks to her, he walked away with a $50 (₹4306 approx.) cash prize and a year’s supply of burritos from Son Del North Mexican Restaurant, the host for the contest.

George also shared that people began noticing his resemblance to Pedro Pascal back when Game of Thrones first came out. With his wife’s support, he finally took part in the competition and won the contest, winning over 30 others who were also competing for the title.

Netizens React With Funny Comments

Fans and netizens didn’t hold back. One wrote, “Wait. Is that not just Pedro Pascal?” while another asked, “He has the same smile”. Another user added, “Not even Pedro himself resembles him as much as number 5 does”. For the unaware, the contest was inspired by Pascal’s recent claim that there’s “no good Mexican food” in New York. It was also organised after another similar moment, when Timothée Chalamet surprised fans at a lookalike contest held in his honour at Madison Square Park.
