But it seems like the plan for this high-profile match might see some changes. 15 October is the first day of Navaratri and this auspicious festival is celebrated with glory and grandeur in India, especially in Gujarat. Security agencies have advised BCCI to reschedule the date, according to a report by The Indian Express. As of now, there is no official confirmation by BCCI or ICC yet.

Security agencies stated that Ahmedabad “should be avoided since they will be stretched because of Navratri”, a top BCCI official shared with The Indian Express.

Even before the release of tickets, cricket aficionados began booking hotels in Ahmedabad. The industry witnessed a massive surge in hotel bookings as soon as ICC revealed the schedule of the World Cup. If the match sees some changes, people are about to face some issues with cancellations and tweaking all their plans.
