A picture of a wide-eyed woman staring down the customers angrily adorned the shop. Many people found the picture at once horrifying and hilarious. Bengaluru is such a vibrant city with a distinctive personality that living there is familiar with its kookiness. Recently, someone took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared pictures of a unique poster they saw hanging at a local vegetable shop.

The poster was that of a wide-eyed woman angrily staring. The seemed funny and scary all at once and Netizens were delighted and terrified to see it. The caption shared along the pictures was “I am so glad I stepped out today.”

Theories abound regarding the telos of the picture. Some said that it was supposed to ward off the evil eye while others think that it was a scarecrow equivalent for robbers and shoplifters. Whatever the reason, we’re just bringing a tub of popcorn to the comments section.
