A couple of days back, the strong storm first slammed the northern part of the state. Along with massive gusts of winds, North California also received rainfall leading to blocking roads. Schools in the rural parts had to be shut on Wednesday, according to a report by Hindustan Times. The weather turned so alarming that there was a threat of humongous waves hitting the coast.

The southern part of California witnessed terrifying weather on February 1. Pineapple Express led to the Thursday weather turning to cloudy skies, massive winds, and heavy rainfall. Along with all the damages and challenges of the storm and rainfall, warnings for flash floods were also issued in some areas of Los Angeles County. There were some risks issued in the hilly areas too.

The Pineapple Express storm not just only damaged and destroyed parts of California but also raised the overall rainfall above the normal level this year. Jan Null, a meteorology professor at San Jose State University shared that the rainfall increased the normal level for the first time.

Pineapple Express has majorly impacted differnt parts of California. Not only properties have been destroyed but it led to terrible problems for people’s lives as well. According to a report by The Times of India, a man was trapped in a flood-control channel in Orange County. From a girl trapping to creating terrible problems for road transportation to closing several roads, several incidents are the outcomes of Pineapple Express.
