Devotees and pilgrims from India and different parts of the world are so excited to plan a devotional trip to Ayodhya, visit the iconic Ram Mandir, and explore the beautiful city. The tourism sector has witnessed a spectacular rise in demand and tourist footfall since the inauguration of the temple and it is all set to boost tourism further and welcome more visitors over the years.

Keep These Tips In Mind While You Are Travelling To Ayodhya

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Narayanan Hariharan (@narayananh) shared some helpful points for everyone planning to visit this holy city soon.

It has been only 2 weeks since the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir and already over 25 lakh devotees have visited the temple. We can only imagine how steadily the number of people heading to Ayodhya will increase with a surge in tourist footfall not just in the temple but in the touristy locations and all around the city as well. Narayanan Hariharan’s friend was in Ayodhya last week and he shared some tips that can help travellers to enjoy enhanced travel experiences.

When you are visiting the Ram Mandir, do not carry your mobile phone, other electronic gadgets, bags, and metallic items. You will need to deposit all these things and then take them back while returning from the temple. Following all these steps will take at least 20 minutes and not carrying any items that need to be deposited can help you in saving time.

Also, going barefoot is a good idea. Searching for shoes after coming out of the temple takes time everywhere and this can help in saving about 15 minutes. If you want to have the darshan of Lord Ram in a comparatively lesser crowded surrounding, visit the temple in the late evenings. Narayanan Hariharan’s friend suggested to visit around 7 PM. There is a super useful tip that may help you to get some extra time for darshan. For this, follow the right line after entering the Mandir. This one goes closer to the idol of Ram Lalla and you may just be able to have darshan for more time.

Some Other Points To Keep In Mind:

Not only the Ram Mandir, but the Hanuman Garhi Temple also welcomes a lot of devotees every day. This temple stays very crowded most time so whenever you wish to visit here, plan your itinerary accordingly.

When you are exploring the touristy places of Ayodhya, ensure travelling to Guptar Ghat, Dashrath Mahal, and Kanak Bhavan. Another recommended place to visit is a temple in the Cantonment.
