Spain Introduces New Rules For Tourists
Spain is a popular tourist destination among tourists, especially in the winter season. Holidaymakers from across the world, especially the UK, flock to the beautiful country to soak in some sun and enjoy time by the beach. Now, however, tourists visiting Spain will have to face some new regulations to enjoy their vacation.
According to NDTV, tourists will be asked to share several personal details when checking in to their accommodation, Airbnb included, or renting a car in Spain. As of now, the hotels in the country usually ask for passports or ID cards of international tourists while checking in. Now, with the new rules in effect, they will have to collect around 31 details from the tourists.
Tourists across the world are not happy with these stringent new regulations. However, the Spanish government has defended this move and has stated they are required “to ensure the safety of citizens”. They have claimed that foreigners can be involved in “terrorist threats and other very serious crimes committed by criminal organisations”. So, to improve security in Spain, they have introduced these stricter regulations.
