Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, and Kerala. His 2-day itinerary on January 2 and 3 includes attending some events, inaugurating significant developments, and laying the foundation stones for new projects. PM Modi has arrived in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruchirappalli and Chief Minister MK Stalin welcomed him. He started his day by attending the 38th Convocation Ceremony of Bharathidasan University. PM Modi Started His 2-Day Visit From Tiruchirappalli In Tamil Nadu

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Modi Ji announced his visit to Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, and Kerala on January 2 and 3.

He was present at the 38th Convocation Ceremony of Bharathidasan University in Tiruchirappalli as the Chief Guest.

After addressing the Convocation ceremony, he headed to the Trichy Airport to inaugurate the new airport terminal building. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scinda was also present along with Narendra Modi during the inauguration ceremony on Tuesday.

Taking to social media, the Prime Minister shared how the launch of Tiruchirappalli’s new airport terminal building and several connectivity projects will have a positive boost to this region’s economic landscape.

Along with these projects, his itinerary in Tamil Nadu also includes laying the foundation stone of several development projects. These upcoming projects are based on different sectors varying from aviation to road to higher education, railway, gas, and oil, according to a report by News 18. All these projects have an overall budget exceeding ₹19,850 crore.

He will dedicate a doubling of the 160 km section of the Madurai-Tuticorin and more railway projects to the nation during his visit. Some of these projects are
