India observes National Unity Day on October 31 annually. This day marks Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary. On this special day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Statue of Unity in Kevadia and paid a floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He is on a two-day visit to Gujarat and his work-trip itinerary is lined up with participating in significant events and working on several projects.

PM Modi reached Gujarat on Wednesday. On the morning of October 31, he visited the iconic Statue of Unity in Kevadia and paid homage and deepest respects to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on this important day. He shared glimpses of India’s first Deputy Prime Minister’s 149th birth anniversary on his social media platforms.
In addition to paying tribute, he attended Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations in the city on Thursday morning. He spoke about how Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel inspires every generation of Indians and will continue to motivate everyone in the upcoming years too.
A grand event was conducted to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and honour Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s legendary contributions. Pictures and videos of the Prime Minister attending the Ekta Diwas Parade are making rounds on social media platforms. This majestic event celebrated the strength and togetherness of our country. “The spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat resonates strongly in all our minds,” shared PM Modi.
Along with these wonderful celebrations, he was also present to watch an epic air show. The Suryakiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force conducted it.

PM Modi Laid Foundations Stones For Many Projects
PM Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Gujarat is an important work trip as it includes a list of inaugurations and laying foundations for many projects and new places. After reaching the city on October 30, he inaugurated some key development works in Kevadia. These projects will help in improving the facilities in the area. According to a report by The Times of India, he laid the foundation stones for different projects and new tourist places. All these are worth a huge budget of ₹284 crores.
