India has a rich wildlife heritage including tigers, elephants, leopards, etc. And to accommodate them, several wildlife sanctuaries serve as tourist attractions too. Among more than 500 wildlife sanctuaries, the Bandipur National Park ranks second in terms of the tiger population. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited this national park and posted some beautiful pictures of the fauna!

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a visit to the Bandipur National Park (also a tiger reserve). And while on this, he had the pleasure of viewing the amazing flora and fauna of the area. Moreover, he has posted them on Twitter and you can see the beauty! In addition to this, there is a video featuring the Prime Minister’s journey through the wildlife reserve.

You can see him adorning a military green safari uniform with a cool cowboy hat! The video starts with PM Modi riding the jeep through the jungle. In the video, you can spot deer and elephants among the trees. And not to mention the scenic mountains of the wildlife reserve.

Apart from the jungle safari, PM Modi met Bomman and Bellie — the elephant caretakers of the camp. He has even posted pics of elephants — Bommi and Raghu and they are absolutely gorgeous!
Bandipur National Park In Karnataka
Bandipur National Park, located in Gundulpet taluk of Chamarajanagar district, has the second highest tiger population in India. Moreover, it is also South Asia’s largest habitat of wild elephants. It is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and is the largest protected area. Traffic is prohibited from dark to dawn from 9 PM to 6 AM in an effort to reduce the mortality rate of wildlife.
In the Bandipur National Park, you may see tigers, Indian elephants, leopards, dholes, sambars, sloth bears, chitals, and many more species and birds. The national park shares borders with Nagarahole National Park, Mudumalai National Park and Wayanad National Park.
