Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to begin his two-day visit to Gujarat today. As part of his visit, he will hold a major road show in Ahmedabad City, between Airport Circle and Indira Bridge Circle, on May 26 evening. The roadshow will lead to road closures in Ahmedabad, impacting those commuting between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar as well. PM On Two-Day Visit To Gujarat

PM Narendra Modi is visiting Gujarat on May 26-27. As part of his two-day visit, the PM will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹82,950 crore across Dahod, Bhuj, and Gandhinagar. One of the much-awaited projects is the Somnath-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat train and a railway production unit in Dahod. These projects have been set up at a cost of over ₹21,000 crore under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

PM Modi To Hold Massive Roadshow In Ahmedabad Today

The PM will hold a major roadshow in Ahmedabad on May 26 evening, following the success of Operation Sindoor. According to The Indian Express, the roadshow is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM and will start from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport and proceed towards Indira Bridge.

Keeping the high-profile roadshow in mind, Ahmedabad authorities have put restrictions in place between 4 PM and 9 PM. The Ahmedabad Traffic Police also issued advisories and urged people to plan their commute around the city and towards Gandhinagar keeping the road closures and alternative routes in mind.

Roads To Avoid, Alternative Routes & No Parking Zones

Here’s a complete list of closed roads and alternative routes to keep in mind during PM Modi’s roadshow in Ahmedabad –

1. The route between the airport to Apollo Circle will be closed. People going from Indira Bridge towards Gandhinagar can go from Nobel Nagar T junction towards Nana Chiloda and onto Apollo Circle.
2. The road from Dafnala Circle to Airport Circle will be closed to vehicular traffic. If you’re going from Dafnala to Gandhinagar, you can go from Subhash Bridge Circle towards Chimanbhai Patel Bridge and on to Tapovan Circle and onwards to Gandhinagar.
3. If you’re commuting between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, then you can –

  • Use Subhash Bridge to go to Visat, and then head towards the Tapovan Circle.
  • From Dafnala, go to Rameshwar, and then on to Naroda Patiya and Nana Chiloda, till Gandhinagar.

All restricted parts of the road and service lanes have been declared no-parking zones after 1 PM on May 26 by the city’s traffic police.

Airport Advisory For Passengers

Keeping PM Modi’s roadshow in mind, Ahmedabad Traffic Police has advised people scheduled to fly between 6 PM and 9 PM on May 26, to leave two hours earlier than their initial plans to avoid any delays. People have also been asked to keep their flight tickets handy to show to police personnel at checkpoints.

The road between Dafnala and the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport will be a restricted area after 4 PM today. Reportedly, only verified vehicles involved in the PM’s roadshow or those heading to the airport, will be allowed to pass. Furthermore, the road between Indira Bridge Circle and the airport will also be highly restricted. You can use the road from Hansol Circle to go to the Pristine Hotel and then onwards towards the airport.
