PM Narendra Modi To Inaugurate & Lay Foundation Stone Of Many Railway Projects
A release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office announced Modi Ji’s scheduled plans to unveil new railway projects and lay the foundation stone for upcoming developments in this industry. The grand event will be conducted virtually via video conferencing. It will begin at 12:30 PM on Monday.
PM Modi will inaugurate the new Jammu Railway Division. It will mark a significant step in improving connectivity in this particular region. This all-new railway division is 742.1 km and it comprises different sections such as
- Pathankot-Jammu-Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla
- Bhogpur Sirwal – Pathankot
- Batala – Pathankot
- Pathankot to Joginder Nagar sections
The formation of the huge railway division will contribute to Jammu and Kashmir and nearby areas. It will enhance railway connectivity with multiple parts of India. Some of its most beneficial advantages will be
- providing employment opportunities
- helping in infrastructure development
- promoting the tourism sector
- improving the entire socio-economic development of the region
Other Projects To Be Inaugurated By Modi Ji
PM Modi will also virtually unveil the Charlapalli New Terminal Station in Telangana during this event. In addition, he will lay the foundation stone of East Coast Railway’s Rayagada Railway Division Building. All these three crucial projects will contribute immensely to boosting connectivity, providing great amenities to travellers, and focusing on the socio-economic development of different regions.
Charlapalli New Terminal Station in Telangana’s Medchal-Malkajgiri district has been constructed as a new coaching terminal at a cost of around ₹413 crore. This environment-friendly terminal comes with the provision of a second entry. Aiming to resolve congestion issues in different coaching terminals such as Hyderabad, Kacheguda, and Secunderabad, it will provide better passenger amenities and eco-friendly services.
The Rayagada Railway Division Building of East Coast Railway will play a necessary role in upgrading connectivity in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and surrounding areas. It will boost the socio-economic development of the region.
