The Pune Police have stepped up their operations against two well-known bars, Unicorn House and Elrow, situated in Kalyani Nagar neighbourhood.

According to information received from Zone 4 of the Pune Police, these establishments have been the target of more than 20 police interventions in the past year alone. This included the filing of three cases against them. The charges mostly result from ongoing problems with noise pollution and activity in the late hours.

In particular, Elrow is involved in two cases that have been brought against it in court, whilst Unicorn House is fighting one complaint. These incidents occur frequently, which suggests a pattern of noncompliance with laws limiting noise levels and business hours. One significant incident highlights the pubs’ disregard for official directions by violating Section 188 of the IPC.
