Be it Dolly Chai Wala, Elvish Yadav or Samay Raina, Purav Jha nails their mimicry skills like no one else. He is known for his viral mimicking content on YouTube, and we met him on a recent episode of Tere Gully Mein. We explored the lanes of Delhi’s Paschim Vihar and sat down for a fun chat with him at the Little Chef. Over some delicious spring rolls, this Bihari guy shared how fluently he speaks Hindi as well as Maithili. Here’s what he shared.
Purav Jha Can Speak In Two Languages Fluently
The content king, Purav, was talking about how his content journey began and how his father reacted to his videos initially. As we savoured the delicious spring roll, we asked him how many years it had been since he last visited this spot. To which he replied, “Dedh saal baad khara hu or baki ye clip na kaat dena trainer ko mat dena, bohot marega wo.” The conversation then took a turn where we asked if anyone at his home had changed after moving to Delhi from Bihar. He replied, “Ghar wale toh full power Bihari hai.” He added, “Mujhe pata bhi nahi maine ghar pe last kab Hindi me baat kari hogi.”
Even though Purav only speaks in Maithili at his home, whenever he is on a call or people are around him, he speaks in Hindi with his family. His Hindi is so fluent that people in Delhi often find it hard to believe that he’s from Bihar. Purav can speak Hindi just as effortlessly as Maithili.

‘Majnu Ka Tila’ Is His Go-To Local Shopping Spot
As he moved to Delhi for his work, we asked him which local market he usually shops at. We thought he would say the iconic Sarojini Market like everyone else, but for Purav, it’s ‘Majnu Ka Tila.’ He thinks Sarojini is the place for the girls, but for the boys, they all head to the roadside street shops at ‘Majnu Ka Tila.’
The YouTuber even spoke about Harsh Beniwal and shared how, under his guidance, he learnt and paved the way for himself in the content creation world. To know how about his content creation journey and his fun side, catch the full episode on Curly Tales’ YouTube channel.
