Purav Jha, India’s beloved YouTuber and mimic, graciously took us around the gullies of Delhi’s Paschim Vihar for a new episode of Tere Gully Mein. The PG YouTuber took on a crazy mimic challenge, gorged on ice creams from Gianis, and even became our dedicated food guide for the day. During our chat with him, Purav Jha revealed his favourite character to mimic.
Purav Jha Enjoys Imitating Dolly Chaiwala
This episode of Tere Gully Mein was one filled with laughter, candidness and lightheartedness. After all, with Purav Jha in the house, you’d expect nothing less! The Delhiite showed his unhinged side when he mimiced MC Stan, Elvish Yadav and even Samay Raina for us. While talking to us, Purav Jha revealed that his favourite personality to mimic is Dolly Chaiwala, the celebrity chai expert, who has also served Microsoft tycoon Bill Gates.
“Bhai! Uska character karne mein bada mazaa aata hai. Uska wig pehnte hi main normal bol hi nahin paa leta. Main uski tarah hi baat karleta,” said Purav Jha. The YouTuber revealed that he enjoys enacting Dolly Chaiwala, and the minute he dons the celebrity’s wig, he transforms into the personality. He called Dolly Chaiwala his personal favourite character to mimic. His second favourite is IShowSpeed, the American YouTuber and online streamer.

He Finds It Difficult To Mimic Speed
He called Speed a tough personality to mimic. That’s because Purva Jha explained there needs to be an energy match. He finds it difficult to take deep breaths and speak at his speed. Jha wonders how Speed can talk while breathing in that manner. “He is built differently, maybe,” says Jha. The mimicry artist reveals that after one take of mimicking Speed, he takes a break to calm himself down, wipe his sweat and breathe easily. And then proceeds to the next take.
