Paul-Bernard Jaroslawsk recently took to Twitter to relay how his sister who was flying to Chicago with a standby ticket ended up being stuck at the Doha airport. In case you’re wondering, standby tickets are a boon for people who want to travel at cheaper prices. This ticket allows the passenger to board a flight only if seats are available after all the confirmed passengers have boarded. However, his sister was stuck at Doha airport as she couldn’t get a single seat to travel to the US. And, a chance meeting turned out to be a boon in disguise for her.
Yes, she met with the CEO of Qatar Airways, Badar Mohammed Al Mir who struck up a brief conversation with her. During the conversation, he asked her why she was sad and she relayed the situation to him. After this, he directed her to go to the business class lounge of the airline, as everything would be handled. Later, the woman ended up flying on a business-class ticket to the States.

The Reaction On X Was Heart-Warming
At the time of the conversation, however, brief it may be she didn’t realise that she was talking to the CEO herself. However, the airline employees revealed that she was quite lucky! That’s because the CEO rarely walked around the airport as he did on that day. The post about this heart-warming incident has gone viral on X.
