1. Saudi Arabia Introduces Special Stamps For FIFA World Cup Bid
Saudi Arabia was announced as the official host of the FIFA World Cup 2034, and the Ministry of Interior is doing something special. Yes, represented by the General Directorate of Passports, they have launched special passport stamps. Called ‘Welcome to Saudi 34,’ this celebrates the winning bid of the kingdom. As it happens, the stamp will be available to travellers at the international entry points of the country.
2. Emirates Group Signs MoU With Airbus Beyond
Recently, the Emirates group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus Beyond. With the aim of extending the Airbus’s Leadership Programme, the MOU extends bespoke training modules for the group’s Emirati talent. As it happens, so far, 45 UAE nationals in three cohorts have already completed Airbus’s Leadership Programme!
3. HH Sheikh Mohammed Announces Ministry Of Family
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Ruler of Dubai, Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE, announced that soon UAE will have a new ministry for family affairs. As there is a need for comprehensive national programmes for increasing the family formation, the new ministry will be tasked with this. It will work to build stable and cohesive families and even propose policies for increasing fertility rates among the citizens.
4. Qatar Airways & Virgin Australia Enter Into A Partnership
Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia have signed a partnership that will offer greater connectivity. It will allow travellers to seamlessly fly to over 100 combined global destinations. This includes destinations across Europe, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East.
5. Union Fortress 10 Military Demonstration To Happen At Al Ain City
The Union Fortress 10 Military Demonstration will take place in Al Ain city. It will be organised by the Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates and will highlight the nation’s preparedness. Especially those of the UAE’s armed forces formations and units. As it happens, this will happen on December 13, 2024 at the Al Ain International Airport.
