Qatar Airways took to X to announce how it will be expanding its global network to over 170 destinations. This is during the 2026-27 winter seasons, which would reflect the network growth of the airline. The winter schedule will see the airline operate over 186 weekly flights. These flights will be across Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, the Americas, and the Middle East.
Qatar Airways Announces Flights For Winter Season 2026-27
Qatar Airways has announced that it is elevating the flight experience for global passengers. With the airline’s Starlink rollout advancing rapidly, it already operates up to 340 Starlink-enabled flights daily. According to the 2026-2027 winter schedules, there will be increased connectivity to some of the most sought-after destinations in the world. For instance, daily flights to Zanzibar, Tanzania will resume from October 25th. The airline will also be expanding its services to Seychelles from the existing four to seven weekly flights from March 1st.
South Africa will also be benefiting from the additional Qatar Airways flights. It will start flights to Johannesburg from December 2nd, 2026. There will be 18 weekly flights, which would increase from the existing 14 flights.
A Look Into The Plan for Asia-Pacific
Coming to the Americas network, Qatar Airways will be increasing its flights to Montréal, Canada from five to seven weekly flights. This will happen from October 25th onwards. For Asia-Pacific also, Qatar Airways will be increasing its services to Phuket, Thailand from 14 to 21 weekly flights from October 25th. Flights to Malé in the Maldives will rise from 12 to 21 weekly flights. The airline also plans to increase flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from seven to 11 weekly flights, from November 7th onwards.
Additionally, the airline will also be able to resume daily flights to Canberra, which will be via Melbourne in Australia. It will be starting on December 9th, 2026. The airline will also be expanding frequencies to Melbourne from seven to 14 weekly flights from December 9th. Flights to Sydney will also increase from the existing seven to 14 weekly flights, while those to Brisbane will see a resumption with three weekly flights, and Perth will also see a resumption with three weekly flights.

Saudi Arabia To See Some Flights Resuming
Coming to the European sector, the airline will see flights to London Heathrow increasing from 49 to 56 weekly flights from October 25th onwards. Meanwhile, flights to Frankfurt in Germany will increase from 18 to 21 weekly flights from December 7th. In the Middle East also, the plan is to resume flights for routes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Yes, this will start with Qassim on October 25th. Qatar Airways will also restart its services to Taif on October 31st, Yanbu on January 2nd, 2027, and Tabuk on January 3rd, 2027.
