The Queen Consort of the UK, Camilla, is currently on a wellness retreat at an Ayurvedic centre in Bengaluru. Three years ago, the royal couple travelled to the wellness retreat for Charles’s birthday. So, what’s this wellness retreat all about? Well, Soukya nestled near Bengaluru’s Whitefield is an Ayurvedic centre that offers holistic therapies for ₹61,000 per night.
Queen Consort Camilla Is In Bengaluru’s Soukya
Soukya in Bengaluru located near the city’s Kempegowda International Airport has hosted the Queen Consort Camilla six times since 2010. According to a report by Deccan Herald, Camilla shall undergo Ayurveda and naturopathy at Soukya. She will stay here for 10 days undergoing holistic therapies. A report by TOI states that there were strict instructions to ensure her trip is not publicised.

All About Bengaluru’s Wellness Retreat, Soukya
So, why is Soukya in Bengaluru a favourite of King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla? Founded by Harvard-trained physician Dr Issac Mathai ( King Charles’s holistic physician), Soukya is a holistic health destination. It aims to restore one’s mind, body and spirit. Built on a 30-acre farm, the wellness centre describes itself to be a “first-of-its-kind healing sanctuary”.

It offers Ayurveda, Yoga, Homeopathy and Naturopathy therapies. At Soukya, visitors are forbidden from consuming alcohol and non-vegetarian food. Smoking and using mobile phones are also strictly prohibited. In fact, guests have to sign a contract before getting entry. And if they break the rules, they must pay a whopping ₹4 lakhs. Moreover, a day at Soukya would cost around ₹61,000.
