R. Madhavan’s Cooks Hate It When He Takes Over The Kitchen; Here’s Why

Madhavan

From making us go head over heels for him in ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ to relating to Farhan’s “Abba nahi manenge” in ‘3 Idiots,’ we all grew up! Yes, we are talking about the handsome actor R. Madhavan. He recently joined our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, on this Power Breakfast episode to talk about his health-conscious life, films and more. While having lengthy conversations with Madhavan, we realised he loves to cook but his chef can’t bear it. Read on to know the reason.

R. Madhavan’s Cooks Hate Him For This Reason

Before indulging in a healthy breakfast at Shelter By Javaphile Cafe, Mumbai, we had a hearty conversation with him, mostly centred around food, of course. He shared his love for a refreshing and simple South Indian dish called Kanji. He explained the preparation of this drink, which made us realise that he isn’t clueless when it comes to cooking.

Madhavan said, “I do enjoy cooking. I like spending time in the kitchen.” But what he revealed next is probably a nightmare for every cook. He shared with us that his cooks hate when he enters the kitchen. He tends to make a mess and his cooks are fed up with cleaning the entire kitchen every time! “An integral part of cooking is cleaning,” he added and we couldn’t agree more.

After discussing food at length, it was finally time to indulge in a delicious and healthy meal at Shelter By Javaphile Cafe. Madhavan was amazed at the elaborate food spread of hummus, acai bowls, French toast and more in front of him. He couldn’t believe that all those items were for just the two of them!

Madhavan shared that his appetite had gone down over the years. He said, “When you really relish the food and not eat it in a hurry, you end up eating much less!” He strongly believes that when a person genuinely appreciates their food, their consumption level comes down. He had also incorporated this belief into his lifestyle.
