Rain showers are expected to bring some much-needed relief to Delhi-NCR as well. Cloudy skies will provide some relief from the heat in the national capital, although warnings remained for hot and humid conditions. There is also a possibility of scattered thunderstorms and rain between June 16 and 19. These weather changes are expected to bring further respite, with maximum temperatures likely to drop to around 36°C by June 20 due to continued rainfall and overcast skies. The IMD has forecast that the monsoon is expected to arrive in Delhi by June 25.
