These heritage trains and railways provide a unique opportunity to experience India’s rich history, culture, and natural beauty while travelling in vintage style. They are not only a mode of transportation but also a journey into India’s past. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Rajasthan’s first historic train from Jodhpur on Thursday. The Valley Queen Heritage Train will run between Marwar Junction and Khamlighat in the Pali area. The new train service seeks to provide travellers with a one-of-a-kind experience as well as a glimpse into Rajasthan’s rich heritage and history of trains.
The train has a capacity of 60 passengers. According to NDTV, the coaches are fully air-conditioned and have wide windows on each side to allow passengers to observe the scenery outside. During the voyage, guests will be able to see the magnificent vistas of Goram Ghat, often known as Rajasthan’s Mini Kashmir, and the highest point of the Bhil Beri waterfall. The train’s design pays homage to the 150-year-old steam engine while also providing a lovely journey through lush green valleys and hills highlighting flora and animals.
The route includes two approximately century-old tunnels as well as 172 bridges over waterways.
