The ‘Bheja Fry’ actor, Rajat Kapoor, met with our anchor, Tonakshi Kalra, for some street food gorging on this episode of Teri Gully Mein. The hot and humid weather didn’t stop the dynamic foodies from scouting the bustling streets of Chandni Chowk to devour lip-smacking street food. The episode sees the handsome and talented Delhite crave for some delicious Bedmi Aloo whilst paying a visit to the 149-year-old Parawthe Wali Shop in Delhi. Scroll down to read further.

Rajat Kapoor Craves For Some Badami Aloo In The Streets Of Chandni Chowk

The ardent Dilli Wala was all sweaty whilst hogging some delicious street food from Chandni Chowk. He jokingly reprimands our anchor for taking him on a joyride of street food tasting during the hot and humid weather. However, the actor’s crossroads with the heat was short-lived as he immersed himself in devouring some ‘garam garam’ kachori at one of the street shops. “This is Curly Tales and she is eating two kachoris” exclaims the actor while showing off his humorous streak.

Doing justice to the true Delhite that he is, the handsome actor was craving for some Bedmi Aloo in Chandni Chowk. Our anchor Tonakshi promises him that the quest to find a Bedmi Aloo shop for him is definitely on. As the pair scout the bustling streets of Chandni Chowk, they finally stumble upon some Bedmi Aloo. 

An ardent foodie with a unique sense of humour, the actor proceeds to take the thali of ‘fresh fresh’ Bedmi Aloo and proceeds to do a pooja of our anchor for finally finding him the perfect spot to curb his incessant cravings.

Rajat Kapoor Reminisces His Childhood Favourite Foods

Tonakshi and Rajat Kapoor halt at The Parawthe Wali Shop in Chandni Chowk during their street food exploration. The actor exclaims that he spent a considerable amount of his childhood in the area. “When we shot the movie Ankhon Dekhi, we did it in Dariba Kalan and we used to eat a lot of unhealthy food!’’ says the actor. 

From Bedmi Aloo and Lassi to Paranthas and Bedmi Puri, the actor loves it all! “I love Daulat ki chaat, that’s a really special memory for me.’’ says the actor. During his childhood, he realised that Daulat is the name of the guy who made the chaat and not the dish itself! The Katra Neel native then proceeds to devour some delicious parathas with our anchor.
