Rajdhani Street in JLT has given a classy makeover to the otherwise humble pav bhaji and we’re loving the new ‘fondue’ version! Tried it yet?
What’s It?
Think Pav Bhaji and all you can recollect might be a simple steel plate loaded with buttered pav and heaps of bhaji on the side. WRONG! Rajdhani Street at JLT Dubai, has given this traditional dish a modern twist and we’re loving it!
Experimenting with the age-old Pav Bhaji, the restaurant has now given a fondue makeover to this favourite chaat. The Bhaji is served in a pretty brass fondue tub, topped with a dollop of butter and shredded cheese. The buttery, toasted pav is cut into bite-sized portions and placed on the side. The dish is served with achar, chopped onions and a piece of lemon. Interesting enough?
As for the ambience expect a lot of quirks as the place strives to give its customers a street-food experience. There’s a nice pop of colours filling the walls, with quirky caricatures that depict all things India. We see that smile!
What Else?
That aside, Rajdhani Street also has other quirky chaats on the menu. For starters, bite into their jalebi fafda or go local with their Mumbai style vada pav. Regulars swear by their rajma chawal, dum aloo, and ragda pattice. The restaurant serves North Indian combos and ala carte. As for the desserts dive into their thick, luscious milkshakes and you’ll leave with a smile on your face.
