In a candid conversation with Tere Gully Mein host, actor Rajesh Tailang reflected on the nostalgia the Delhi lanes hold for him, reminiscing about the days spent here during the winters. He recalled how, despite not being particularly fond of the cold, the chill of the season became a backdrop to cherished memories.
Strolling through the lanes with pockets full of peanuts, he and his friends would engage in long, intellectual conversations about life, theatre, and films. He shared that back in those days, dating was not about casual outings but about deep, thought-provoking discussions. The conversation between artists, especially, usually revolved around grand ideas about how they could change the world through their art.

Rajesh Tailang On His Early Career And Family Support
Rajesh Tailang shared insights about his early career and family dynamics. He recalled that his family, being predominantly composed of artists from various fields, was open-minded and supportive of his decision to pursue acting. Unlike many families, they didn’t push him to focus solely on his studies or discourage him from following his passion. Instead, they urged him to hone his craft with greater dedication.
Rajesh Tailang also revealed all about his first paycheck, which he earned for his role in the television serial Dhai Akhar, a project he worked on in Delhi before moving to Mumbai. The serial, created by renowned poet Ashok Chakradhar, was a five-episode series aired on Doordarshan. Tailang played the lead role in the series and earned ₹3000 for the 20-day shoot.
On the subject of binge-watching, he admitted that while he occasionally indulges in a show if it captivates him, he doesn’t often engage in marathon-watching. He prefers to balance his life beyond the screen.
