In our latest episode of Tere Gully Mein, we sit down with the ever-charming Rajesh Tailang, known for his standout roles in Mirzapur, Bandish Bandits, and Delhi Crime. This time, however, he brings a side we don’t often see — his humorous take on the winter blues. So, grab a cup of chai and enjoy as we chat about everything from winter laziness to his favourite comedian, Zakir Khan.

Rajesh Tailang On Winter Blues And Hibernation Jokes

In a freewheeling chat, actor Rajesh Tailang brought his signature wit while talking about his struggle with winters. “Half ho jaata hai haan, waise hi IQ zyada nahi hai haan, aur winters mein to woh bhi half ho jaata hai” (My IQ gets halved. Well, it wasn’t that high, to begin with, and in winter, even that gets halved), he quipped, painting a picture of seasonal sluggishness.

He went on to compare himself to a hibernating bear, joking that he could sleep through Diwali and would need someone to wake him up for Holi. When the conversation turned to travel, Tailang admitted that while he does enjoy it in theory, the constant movement that comes with his profession has dulled his excitement. “Since my work involves so much travelling, my enthusiasm for it kind of gets used up in the process,” he explained.

Even during his theatre days, he was always on the move, performing in different cities and later travelling extensively for film and TV shoots, both in India and abroad. “Luckily, my work is such that I don’t really need to set aside separate time for travelling—it just happens as part of the job,” he added.

He mentioned that while he doesn’t binge often, he enjoys documentaries.
