Do you think that your date of birth can decide your future? For Rakul Preet Singh, it surely did. Surprisingly, she got her first film based on her date of birth. The actress confirmed the same in one of the recent interviews with Curly Tales. Her first film was a Kannada movie named Gilli, which had hit the theatres in 2019. Rakul had begun her modelling career at the age of 18.

Rakul Had Refused Her First Film; Was Told That She Would Become A Big Star One Day
When Rakul was asked how she got her first film, she replied, “I just got a call randomly and ran my first portfolio pictures. They saw those pictures and said that there is a Kannada film and it is the remake of a very good Telegu-Tamil film and we would like to cast Rakul. I didn’t even know that there was a South industry. I was from Delhi and was an army kid, and I wanted to act in Hindi. So, I refused. Then they called my dad and they said that we have seen her date of birth and one day she will be a very big star, so we want to launch her.”

Stardom Was Rakul’s Destiny
In the interview, Rakul also said that she had done her first film for pocket money to buy a car. She also got a phone for her mother with her first salary. But stardom was Rakul’s destiny. Rakul is now 31 and she has already acted in more than 30 movies. She will be seen next in Runway 34 which also stars Ajay Devgn.
