The holy month of Ramadan is just a couple of days away, and now for the same, private schools in Abu Dhabi and Dubai have announced new timings. For the holy month, the private schools and government agencies will reduce working hours during the month of Ramadan. The official working hours of ministries and federal entities during the period would be from 9am to 2pm. Read on to know more about it.

Abu Dhabi Private Schools Cannot Start The Schools Before 9 30 AM
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Dubai’s private education regulator, said private schools would reduce their regular seven hours to five hours for the holy month of Ramadan. For Abu Dhabi private schools, the schools cannot start before 9 30 AM and must end by 3 30 PM.

Private schools in the emirate have received Ramadan timing guidelines that they need to follow from the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (Adek). As per the guidelines,
“Each school is expected to cover the full content of the core subjects during those hours, and to consult with parents while selecting the appropriate schedule.”
School Authorities Need To be Mindful When It Comes to Homeworks And Assignments
As per the reports, schools can choose what time they start and can decide the ending time after consulting with their parent communities. The authorities have also asked the schools to be mindful when it comes to assignments and homework for students during the holy month.
