After the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, India has witnessed a rapid rise in religious and spiritual tourism. Taking note of this trend, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is set to launch its fifth ‘Ram Mandir Yatra’ deluxe train on July 25, 2025. The time span of the journey is 17 days, and it will cover around 30 destinations. Spanning across Nepal and India, each destination holds significance for Lord Rama’s devotees. Through this Ramayana Yatra Train, the passengers will take a spiritual journey to key Ramayana sites.
What The Itinerary Looks Like On The Ramayana Yatra Train
The Ramayana Yatra Train will start from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station, and the first halt will be at Ayodhya. Passengers will visit key sites such as the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi, and Ram Ki Paidi. Other destinations on the itinerary include Nandigram, Nepal, Buxar, Varanasi, Chitrakoot, Nashik, and Rameshwaram.

- Nandigram: Bharat Mandir, Sitamarhi, and Janakpur
- Nepal: Sita Ji’s birthplace and Ram Janki Temple
- Buxar: Ramrekha Ghat and Rameshwarnath Temple
- Nashik: Trimbakeshwar Temple and Panchvati
- Varanasi: Kashi Vishwanath Temple and corridor, Tulsi Mandir, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir, Ganga Aarti; also includes Prayagraj and Shringverpur
- Hampi: Anjaneya Hill (Hanuman’s birthplace), Vitthala and Virupaksha Temples
- Rameshwaram: Ramanathaswamy Temple and Dhanushkodi

What Are The Special Features Of The Deluxe Train?
According to the reports by India TV, this special tour will be run using the Bharat Gaurav AC Deluxe Tourist Train that boasts some amazing features. This fully air-conditioned train has two restaurants, shower cubicles in coaches, a specially designed washroom for senior citizens, a foot massager, and a stylish kitchen. This Ramayana Yatra Train offers comfort, with premium facilities that will enhance the passenger’s travel experience. Not just a regular AC train, this train is fully under security surveillance with cameras, and each coach has an associated security guard, reducing any sort of risks or problems during the journey. The train offers three types of accommodation: First AC, Second AC, and Third AC.
Cost Of The Tickets For Ramayana Yatra Train
The package offers a complete travel experience, including vegetarian meals, 3-star hotel accommodation, sightseeing, travel insurance, tour managers, and road transfers. The ticket prices are as follows:
- 3 AC: ₹1,17,975 per person
2 AC: ₹1,40,120 per person
1 AC Cabin: ₹1,66,380 per person

According to a report by India TV, an IRCTC official shared that after January 22, 2024, there has been a noticeable increase in visits to religious places. Spiritual tourism has seen rapid growth following the inauguration of the Ram Mandir by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. More travellers are now opting for pilgrim destinations over luxury getaways, highlighting the growing cultural and religious significance of such sites in India.
