Two patrons who left a one-star review were targeted by TOYOJIRO, a well-known Jiro-style ramen restaurant in Kyoto, Japan. The proprietor posted a threatening message accusing the patrons of damaging his restaurant’s reputation.
The Ramen Restaurant Owner’s Aggressive Post
The owner also offered a reward of 100,000 yen (₹58,000, approximately) to anyone who could hunt down the two consumers. According to the Instagram post, the hunt would go on until the two returned to the eatery and gave it a favourable rating. According to Dexerto, the owner commented on Instagram saying that he saw their post and that they seemed a bit weird.
He also said that it’s okay since the restaurant tries not to treat folks like them like clients. The owner warned the two people to abstain from eating out as “someone like them will be screwed someday.” The ramen restaurant owner stated all this in a now-deleted post. He also said that he doesn’t care, asking the customers to just come directly, and he’ll deal with them. In the deleted post, the proprietor said they operate a planned business, so if people get in their way, they’ll get in theirs too.

After Social Media Backlash
The owner removed the message after receiving criticism for his behaviour on social media. According to Dexerto, the owner responded in another post. He acknowledged that there are advantages and disadvantages. He said that he had been thinking about this act that went too far. He also said that he is eager to think things through. In an Instagram post that has since been taken down, the restaurant also apologised for the owner’s actions.
Social media is buzzing over the post about the ramen eatery. One user responded by making a joke about how you would suddenly become the main ingredient in the next special if you left a negative review. Another person said that this sounds like the plot of a movie.
