Kamiya caught Ranveer Allahbadia taking a stroll at his “happy spot” in his Wadala neighbourhood. He was accompanied by his adorable and squishy dog, Damien. He fondly talked about how this neighbourhood will forever be close to his heart. This is where his journey as BeerBiceps began.
Ranveer commented how his Wadala neighbourhood is one of the quietest places in Mumbai. The ex-Wadala resident enlightened us about how this portion is called “area” in a Mumbai accent. Another word that surprised Kamiya was ‘DaWaMa’! He elaborated that this acronym is the culmination of Dadar, Wadala and Matunga.
Continuing on his childhood memories, he talked about how some of his initial subscribers were from this neighbourhood. He recalled knocking on doors back in 2015 and urging Wadala residents to subscribe to his channel. He said, “We started from here; I have an emotional connection (with Wadala).”

This Was His Go-To Sweet Shop
Ranveer took us to one of the most iconic sweet shops in Wadala, Brij Albela. He has fond memories of relishing food items here as a school kid. The YouTuber said, “During exams when I was fully burnt out from studies, then I would come here at 10:30 at night to hog on gulab jamun and kachori.”
As a Punjabi, he loves to eat this combination and urged us to try the same here. Turns out, Brij Albela has a special dry fruit gulab jamun and we couldn’t wait to eat it. He concluded by saying, “It’s very nostalgic to come here!”
