The Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally lifted the IPL trophy after clinching a much-deserved win against Punjab Kings on June 3. The nation cried happy tears as they watched Virat Kohli, one of the most talented players of the century, finally hold the IPL Cup with the boys in red. Like many others, the Delhi Police also joined the bandwagon with an appreciation post for Virat Kohli. The only twist? They turned it into a message on road safety and patience.

RCB’s IPL Win After 18 Yrs Inspire Delhi Police’s Road Safety Campaign

Delhi Police took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate RCB for their maiden IPL win and turned it into a road safety campaign for the youngsters. In the tweet, they said, “#Virat jeet ke liye patience zaroori hai!” (You have to be patient for a huge win). The post also had a poster which translates to, “See, they waited for 18 years and you’re already insisting your parents let you drive a car or ride a bike.”

The witty post garnered a lot of attention online with people lauding the Delhi Police for their creativity. Hundreds of people commented on the post and appreciated their effort to make youngsters relearn that they must wait till the age of 18 to drive a car or ride a bike/scooter.

One of the comments on the post read, “Lovely. Forwarding this to my son.”

“Perfect example to educate young,” a netizen commented.

Another one humorously added, “Delhi Police mouke pe chouka marte hue!”
