Keeping in mind the extraordinary circumstances right now, fear, anxiety, and panic is inevitable. However, we believe that with the right information and mental preparedness, we can overcome anything. Staying mentally strong and being prepared for any situation is what helps in times like these. And to help you further, we have prepared a little safety guide that you can follow in case of ean mergency.
Strength & Sense Over Panic
Amidst rising tensions between the two nations, it is crucial to understand the importance of information. Unverified WhatsApp messages, social media posts, photos of military movements, videos covering important national locations–anything can trigger misinformation and panic among people. What may appear to be a harmless post can actually cause unrest in society. That’s why Indian authorities have requested their citizens to remain calm and not fall for misinformation spreading online.
While keeping yourself informed and updated is important, too much information consumption can make you relentless. We advise you to watch out for unverified news and only trust news sources and agencies. Only forward and share messages that have usable advisories and come from verified government portals.
If you’re travelling, then make sure you check the flight status on the airline’s website before planning your travel. Also, reach the airport at least three hours before the flight’s departure time. Since the Civil Aviation Ministry has asked airports nationwide to enhance their security checks, all airport authorities and airlines have issued travel advisories. They have requested passengers to reach the airports early as the check-in counters will be closed 75 minutes before departure. Having said that, we want to assure you that besides the temporary closure of a few airports, all major Indian airports are operating normally.

Since we believe in being ready for all situations, we have prepared a safety guide to help you during emergencies. We aim to promote readiness and resilience, and not spread fear or panic.
1. Prepare a kit of essential supplies
- Keep a kit ready with essentials that can last you for a few days.
- This should include non-perishable food like canned goods, dry fruits, protein bars, and instant rice/noodles.
- Also, have 3-4 litres of water per person per day. It is recommended to have a stock of a minimum of 14 days.
- Have a first aid kit ready with bandages, antiseptics, basic meds, and any prescribed medicines.
- You should also have sanitary items like essential toiletries, sanitary napkins, and diapers if needed.
- Have a power backup ready as well. This should include batteries, power banks, solar chargers, and torchlights.
- It is also smart to have cooking equipment like a portable stove, gas canisters, matchsticks, and a lighter ready.
2. Communicate and coordinate with family and neighbours, and help each other.
3. Keep cash in small denominations handy. The idea is to be prepared and not overstock.
4. Understand local warning sirens and emergency signals. Follow safety drill protocols like total blackouts diligently.
5. Download government-authorised emergency alert apps like ‘Sachet’.
