A Redditor visited The Grand New Delhi and returned home with not-so-memorable experiences. Here’s what happened.

The OP visited the Cascades at The Grand Hotel on November 23. Along with their family, they headed here to celebrate their aunt’s birthday. Like every other foodie and visitor at such a renowned restaurant, the family members also expected a great time here. Unfortunately, they faced some unpleasant experiences on Saturday night.
As shared by the Redditor, their father sat on a really old chair and it broke all of a sudden. Suddenly, the older man fell. The unexpected news was how all the furniture at the Cascades was of bad quality, especially considering it to be a 5-star restaurant. The manager at this restaurant at The Grand New Delhi did not apologise to the family for this miserable incident. Instead, he just asked the server to provide a different chair. “Just very ignorant attitude,” the OP added.
Irrespective of this shocking incident, the family member ignored it and decided to enjoy the rest of the night and celebrate the birthday. Sadly, this was not the end of the mishaps they faced at this posh place yesterday. The Redditor ordered mango lime and it took the staff around 40 minutes to serve. Meanwhile, the OP had to remind waiters to bring him his order. The series of bad experiences continued as mango lime tasted horrible and “smelled like a mosquito repellent.” It was so bad that they had to return it.
The family ordered lots of dishes and one of the options on the food spread was pieces of bread. Well, this was another irritating experience as the staff took a lot of time to bring bread to the table.
What Was The Bill Amount?
Concluding this Reddit post, the OP added how the overall experience was really bad. Though they submitted a feedback form, they are pretty sure the restaurant did not take it into consideration. A total of 12 people visited the Cascades at The Grand Hotel for dinner and the bill came to ₹12,000 after a discount. They expected the dinner to be a nice time but the restaurant ruined their fine dining experience.
The OP suggested everyone skip visiting here at all costs.
