A place that had diners like President Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, and Beyoncé, this is quite the hotspot of NYC. Now, this iconic restaurant is set to open at a new location in Beverly Hills, California by early 2024. It’s also their first expansion in the U.S. outside New York.
Inside The New Marea
The restaurant has been serving up Italian-inspired seafood dishes to New Yorkers for over a decade, and now, West Coast foodies will get a chance to try their delicious creations. The Beverly Hills location will be the first Marea restaurant on the West Coast and is expected to open soon.
The new restaurant will feature a sleek, modern design, with a mix of dark woods and bright, light colours. The new Marea location in Beverly Hills will feature a similar menu to the New York City location. The menu is a celebration of seafood, with a focus on Italian cuisine. Similarly, the place will also feature a healthy selection of crudo.
Expect signature house-made pasta dishes like gnocchetti with ruby shrimp, octopus and bone marrow fusilli; a lobster astice appetizer with burrata; and its salt-baked branzino, all of which will be featured on the menu. In addition to the food, Marea is also known for its extensive wine list.

NYC To Beverly Hills
This is also a sign of the growing trend of New York City restaurants expanding to the West Coast. The opening of Marea in Beverly Hills The restaurant’s reputation precedes it, and many expect it to become one of the top seafood restaurants in the city. The Beverly Hills location will also be a welcome addition to the city’s already thriving food scene.
Although opened in 2009, Marea New York also had to lose its one Michelin star last year. However, the opening of Marea in Beverly Hills is highly anticipated, with many food critics and industry insiders eagerly awaiting the restaurant’s debut. With a lot of buzz and a sleek, modern design, the Beverly Hills location hopes to become a favourite of both locals and tourists alike.
