Republic Day 2025: From Haryana To Karnataka, Indian States Feature Extraordinary Tableaus At Kartavya Path

On January 26, 2025, India celebrated its 76th Republic Day with pomp and glory. From extravagant displays and arrangements at Kartavya Path to hoisting the national flag nationwide, it has been a day filled with joy, events, and beautiful memories. Like every year, Delhi’s Kartavya Path hosted the grand parade and witnessed the representation of performances and tableaus from different Indian states and Union Territories. Let’s take a look at India’s glorious showcase at this spectacular event.

India Celebrated Republic Day Splendidly On Sunday

From eminent ministers to political parties to the public, Netizens have flooded social media platforms with glimpses of yesterday’s events.

On the marvellous occasion of the 76th Republic Day, the highly anticipated parade presented India’s rich history and culture with different tableaus. Our country’s military skills and valour were highlighted as well. Many Indians from all around gathered at the venue to witness the historical parade’s magnificence and spectacle.

President Droupadi Murmu led the celebrations with the parade commencing at 10:30 AM. Among special guests at the Kartavya Path, Indonesia President Prabowo Subianto was the chief guest who graced the occasion. In addition, Indonesia’s military contingents participated in the parade and the march past. A team of 352 members presented the marching and band contingent. Also, this historical day coincided with the platinum jubilee of the enactment of India’s Constitution.

On the 76th Republic Day, the parade at Kartavya Path witnessed a showcase of 31 tableaus. For 2025, its theme was Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas. 16 of these were represented by Indian states and Union Territories. The central ministries and organisations featured the rest.

From West Bengal to Uttar Pradesh to Goa to Haryana, Indian states blew viewers’ minds with exquisitely prepared tableaus. From a commendable portrayal of cultural heritage to showcasing India’s progress, the event was grander than ever. According to the Press Information Bureau, here are the themes of the Republic Day tableaus.

  • Andhra Pradesh: Etikoppaka Bommalu
  • Bihar: Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas (Nalanda Vishwavidyalya)
  • Chandigarh: Harmonious blend of heritage, innovation and sustainability
  • Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu: Daman Aviary Bird Park and Kukri Memorial
  • Delhi: Quality education
  • Goa: Cultural Heritage
  • Gujarat: Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas
  • Haryana: Bhagavad Gita
  • Jharkhand: Legacy of heritage and progress
  • Karnataka: Lakkundi (Cradle of stone craft)
  • Madhya Pradesh: Kuno National Park
  • Punjab: Land of knowledge and wisdom
  • Tripura: Kharchi Puja (The Worship of 14 Deities in Tripura)
  • Uttarakhand: Cultural heritage and adventure sports
  • Uttar Pradesh: Mahakumbh 2025, Swarnim Bharat Virasat aur Vikas

More About The Event

This year’s Republic Day celebrations featured the Airawat system, Akash air defence system, BrahMos missile, Pralay missile, Pinaka rocket system, battlefield surveillance system SANJAY, Nag Missile System, T-90 Bhishma tanks, among other splendid displays.

Captain Dimple Singh Bhati created a World Record on Sunday. She is now the Indian Army’s first woman officer to present a salute to President Droupadi Murmu. She achieved this significant feat on a 12-foot ladder mounted on a moving motorcycle.
