Marked as a blue line or with a resident permit only MAWAQiF signage, this is not just applicable for apartments, but also for villas. Whether it’s a first- or second-degree relative, who is living in the same area, they can also apply for this parking permit.

However, before you apply for the permit, you will need a set of important documents, which are as follows –

  • Electricity Bill
  • Emirates Id
  • Tenancy Contract
  • Vehicle Ownership

Once you’ve gathered all the documents, the fee must be paid, however, this differs. Yes, the permit fee differs from the UAE nationals to the expat residents. Here’s a look at the fee structure for this permit.

  • The permit is free of cost for UAE nationals who are applying for up to four vehicles in apartments and for the permit in the villa areas.
  • For expats, it costs AED800 to get a permit for their first vehicle.
  • For the second permit or an additional vehicle, the cost is AED1200.
