From Samba dancers, to jazzy music and other eye-catchy performance, the five-day carnival is expected to attract millions of visitors from around the world to the busy streets of Rio. The highlight of any Carnaval experience is attending (or participating in) a parade at the Sambódromo. Schools compete to bag the top spot in the parade, after which the winners are announced. Tickets for the parade are available at LIESA, the official samba school league. Here’s the schedule for this year’s parade:
