Ronit Roy took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a dangerous incident that happened to him. Tagging the food delivery platform, Swiggy, Ronit Roy said he almost killed one of their riders. He stressed the need to give them instructions on riding. Riding an electric moped doesn’t mean delivery executives should ride on the wrong side of the road onto oncoming traffic. Furthermore, he questioned Swiggy if they even care for the lives of the food delivery agents or if it’s business as usual for them.

To his post, Swiggy replied that they expect their delivery partners to follow all traffic rules. Swiggy asked actor Ronit Roy to share available details so they could take necessary actions against the rider. The food delivery aggregator also assured Ronit Roy that it will look into the matter closely. Ronit Roy hasn’t yet responded to Swiggy’s reply.

I was gonna tweet the same to Swiggy sometime back. I also see Swiggy delivery partners breaking the traffic rule a lot here in Bengaluru. Few delivery partners even have been beaten up because they crashed their 2-wheeler into someone else’s.

He further adds that a few delivery partners were beaten up for crashing their two-wheelers into someone else’s vehicles. @nanu_paya tagged Yulu and urged the company to fit side-view mirrors on mopeds to avoid accidents. The X user has seen many riders take sudden turns on roads and pose a danger to themselves and other commuters. Another Netizen asked Ronit Roy not to hold Swiggy responsible as the company expects its riders to follow traffic rules.
