This is the group’s fifth integrated mixed-use community, which is also a first in Makkah. As it happens, once complete it will offer 4149 residential units and a bunch of other amenities that we are here to tell you all about.
ROSHN Launches ALMANAR In Makkah
ALMANAR, once complete will offer an integrated community of residential units and houses for over 17,000 people. Across the footprint of 2.5 million square metres, the first phase of this gigaproject will provide 4,149 residential units and will be located on the Western Gate of Makkah. Right between the old and the new expressways that link to the city of Jeddah, it will be 20 minutes from the Holy Mosque and around one hour away from the King Abdul Aziz Airport in Jeddah. Not to mention, the first phase will also feature a wide range of amenities, which will be typical of ROSHN’s offerings.
The first phase will include a regional mall, which will be supplemented by eight neighbourhood commercial centres, several local and Jumaa mosques, and a business park that will boost economic development in the city.
It Will Offer Diverse Residential Units
In fact, the residential typologies are also quite diverse. With floor plans ranging from 3- to 5-bedroom townhouses, duplexes, and villas, these residential units will certainly offer a lot of comfort for the people. Moreover, it’s worth mentioning that ALMANAR is inspired by the local architectural heritage of the kingdom’s western province. Yes, this visual inspiration is particularly visible in the facade that incorporates ornate details, like elliptical and geometric patterns, defining each building’s feature.

Seamlessly blending history and modernity, the core focus is on sustainability and natural beauty. With meticulously planned green and open spaces, it covers 12% of the community’s total footprint. Not to mention, for enhancing the community’s well-being, there will also be walking, cycling, and sports accessibility through shaded primary and secondary walkways.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that ALMANAR will feature modern insulation, solar water heaters, and efficient air-conditioning, which are originally industry-leading in energy-conserving technologies.
