Sachin Tendulkar Talked About A Batsman’s Frame Of Mind On The Cricket Ground

The God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, graced Curly Tales with his presence and we had the pleasure of asking him questions regarding cricket. Cricket is one of the popular sports in India and Indians go gaga over it. While the audience is hooting and cheering through the game, the players are under immense pressure. Sachin narrated an interesting and memorable incident about such a game.

It happened at the 2003 World Cup Match against Pakistan. Just as he said this, we were intrigued and wanted to know every little detail. We know you do too. Sachin Tendulkar told us that it was a huge deal to chase 274 against Pakistan in 2003. India didn’t want to lose any wickets. He went on to say that Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar, Wasim Akram, and Abdul Razzaq were some of the leading players on the opponent’s team who were the best attackers of the tournament.

Just as they started playing the game, the Indian team was rolling out fours and sixes. This made the Pakistan team’s confidence deflate little by little. Sachin Tendulkar said that noticing this, he and Virender Sehwag started conversing louder as playing mind games absolutely matters. They planned to score more fours and sixes!

He continued, “It is all about owning that place, you know that 22 yards.” The batsman and bowler both have the opportunity to tackle the pitch. In the end, it depends on how both of them react to the situation. Learning about this incident from a memorable match was really interesting. India won by six wickets in the 2003 World Cup Match against Pakistan and Sachin scored 98 runs.

However, he was aware that cricket is the one thing that he wants to pursue and make the nation proud. He is a man of his word and he did just that!
